Joseph Chamberlain was a British Politician. He was born in 1836 and was the organiser of the New Zealand Contingents in the War. He was a key person involved in the Jameson Raid along with Cecil Rhodes who was Prime Minister of the Cape Colony.

Richard Seddon.
Richard Seddon was the longest serving Prime minister of New Zealand, for 13 years. He was Prime Minister during the Boer War and was incredibly enthusiastic and Patriotic in support of the British. He was born in England and started his involvement in politics when he moved to NZ in 1866. He would have been supportive of the Boer War because of his family ties to Britain. He was in control of organising the New Zealand Contingents before they left to South Africa.
